How to setup "slide template" in PowerPoint?
To set up a slide template in PowerPoint, follow these steps:
- Open PowerPoint and create a new presentation or open an existing one.
- Go to the "View" tab on the ribbon.
- Click on "Slide Master" in the Master Views group. This opens the Slide Master view.
- In the Slide Master view, you'll see the master slide at the top, along with various layouts below it.
- Customize the master slide by changing background styles, fonts, colors, effects, and other formatting options. Any changes here will apply to all slides based on this master.
- To modify specific layouts, select the layout slides below the master slide and customize them as needed.
- Once you're satisfied with the design, click on "Close Master View" in the Slide Master tab.
- Your slide template is now set up and will apply to new slides you add.
If you'd like to save this as a custom template for future use:
- Click on "File" > "Save As."
- Choose "PowerPoint Template (*.potx)" in the Save as type dropdown.
- Name your template and save it.
